FREE INTRO CLASS

We offer a free class to potential clients on Saturdays at 10 am. Come in and try us out.
Our group fitness classes utilize training methods from a spectrum of fitness and athletic disciplines. We incorporate smart, structured strength training, functional and powerful conditioning, appropriate speed and agility work, and flexibility and mobility.

We help our clients develop balanced physical abilities that improve health, performance and daily function: Strength, Endurance, Power, Stamina, Speed, Agility, and Flexibility.

Classes are kept small to ensure a low client:trainer ratio and allow our qualified and experienced trainers to instruct and coach closely and individualize training when appropriate. This format allows much of the benefit of personal training without the expense and with the supportive, fun and competitive environment of a group of teammates.

While we are no longer a CrossFit affiliate after more than 5 years of affiliation, we continue to use the aspects of CrossFit training that we find valuable, while eliminating those we believe to be unproductive or even dangerous.

Catalyst Athletics founder and director of training, Greg Everett, co-owned CrossFit NorCal in Chico, CA, the fourth out of the now thousands of CrossFit affiliate gyms. This extensive experience gives Catalyst Athletics a great advantage with regard to implementing CrossFit training principles effectively and safely.



Getting Started

Because our focus is on quality of instruction, safety and effectiveness, clients without experience with CrossFit training must complete an introductory class series or a series of personal training sessions. Clients with previous CrossFit experience can join classes immediately.


Intro Class

The Intro Class consists of 3 weekly sessions for 4 weeks for a total of 12 sessions. The class curriculum is carefully designed and instructed to prepare new clients for the more demanding classes to come. These sessions consist of exercises instruction and practice, review, warm-up protocols, stretching protocols, and, of course, workouts! Instruction and workouts increase in complexity and intensity throughout the duration of the class, progressively improving your fitness and preparedness for the open classes. These classes are offered periodically; check our schedule for the next open class and to sign up.


Personal Training

New clients can also prepare themselves to enter our fitness classes with personal training. While this option is more expensive, it requires fewer sessions and can be scheduled at any time. Typically clients are ready after 5-8 sessions.
